Training

Katt has been helping horses meet their owner’s/rider’s goals since 2000. Her riding education at Centenary College, specializing in breaking and training the green or problem horse, coupled with riding over 100 different horses during her college career, has given her an in depth understanding of the individuality of each horse. During and after college, Katt worked as an Assistant to “R” Judge Lisa K. Schmidt, who sharpened her “eye on the ground” and advanced riding skills. Katt has been privileged to ride with Lendon Gray, Jessie Steiner, Scott and Suzanne Hassler and “O” Judge Linda Zang and continues to work with grand prix riders and judges regularly.

Katt has started several horses as “first rider,” some of which, after just 40 days under saddle, have gone on to show and sell as hunters, jumpers and dressage horses. Whether your horse needs a “tune up,” to learn new habits or to be started under saddle, the end goal will be set and a ladder of interim goals will be applied to assure reaching that end goal.
